Entrance Requirements:
GED: This educational component creates opportunities for measurable achievement in General Equivalency Diploma (GED). This educational process aims to make young people more employable and to foster a life-long appreciation for learning. Carpentry: This component teaches students basic safety skills and provides an introduction to Carpentry. Through this opportunity students are able to gain National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) and Carpentry Assistant certification. This training offers a “hands- on” learning approach. Life Skills: This component of the program equips students with the necessities they need to become young productive adults in today’s society. Topics include but are not limited to: Money Management, Career Planning, Substance Abuse Prevention, Hygiene, Community Involvement and Leadership Development.
